I suppose setbacks are only eye and heart openers for us. So are the things that occur all around us. Maybe sometimes we get complacent and selfish and we forget to appreciate.
They're never a pleaser, those setbacks. But the outcomes and learning issues are priceless.
What's a week of displeasure in comparison with months of joy.
Then again, what are months of joy when compared to a lifetime of bliss.
But then again, a lifetime of bliss sounds farfetched and fictitious.
I don't believe in a life with no setbacks.
What is there to make you feel accomplished, satisfied, proud of yourself, when there are no obstacles to tackle in the first place?
I suppose that lifetime of bliss is associated with both the happiness and fulfillment of living it, on top of knowing that you have gotten over/round/past (anything but away from it) the obstacle and knowing that you are still here, living, breathing, continuing, keeping faith.
But nonetheless, the bottomline is that it depends on how you seek that contentment.
Which brings me to question.
Ultimately, what makes you happy?
Life. The endless possibilities, the countless decisions. What a ride.
